FC Bayern Munich apparently extends Lucas Hernández’s contract in the long term. That reports sky.
Accordingly, the French working paper, which currently runs until 2024, will be extended prematurely by three years to 2027. Another collaboration with Hernández had already been reported in the past few weeks.
According to the report, talks about the defender’s future have been going on for quite some time. Now there has been a breakthrough, the deal is almost done.
The signing of the contract should take place in the coming days, according to the report.
Hernández has been absent from FC Bayern since the World Cup in Qatar with a cruciate ligament rupture. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old is working on his comeback. Recently there had been speculation that he could be an option again for the season finale.
The defender, who can act both on the inside and on the left, switched to the Isar in 2019 for the Bundesliga record sum of 80 million euros. After initial teething problems, Hernández had blossomed into a regular player and top performer.
