FC Bayern Munich continues to look abroad for promising talent. Three particularly gifted are now to come.
When FC Bayern announced Julian Nagelsmann’s move from Leipzig at the end of April, the job was clearly defined. “He should ensure an even closer connection between the youth teams and the professional team in order to have more and more own players in the men’s division in the future,” said President Herbert Hainer. Around eight months later, the coach is on the right track. Six points ahead of BVB leaders in the Bundesliga and 16-year-old Paul Wanner, a homegrown player, just integrated into the professional squad. Wanner is said to have been just the beginning.
While Nagelsmann is responsible for line-up and training, Board Member for Sport Hasan Salihamidzic and Technical Director Marco Neppe continue to plan the squad for youngsters. The duo is on the hunt for talent – especially abroad.
According to information from SPOX and GOAL, the Munich team currently have three top talents from Spain and France on their list.
Jimenez, Kari, Zaire-Emery – Bayern want three top talents
First, there is Alejandro Jimenez. The 16-year-old right-back, Spain U17 international, has been trained by Real Madrid since 2012. Jimenez is considered a top talent and is celebrated by the Spanish press as a “chance machine” because of his precise crosses and passes.
In the senior team, his position is already being traded as the legitimate successor to Dani Carvajal and Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta. No wonder that coach returnee Carlo Ancelotti is already following his development closely.
On the other hand, the record champion is interested in two talents from Paris Saint-Germain: Ayman Kari (17) and Warren Zaire-Emery.

Both play side by side in central midfield in the U19s and are considered great talents. Zaire-Emery stands out in particular. The six is only 15, has skipped a year and is already a regular player and top performer among the older colleagues.
When he was only on the bench in the last group game in the Youth League against Bruges at the beginning of December, his team was 2-0 down at the break. Substituted in the 55th minute, he led PSG to a 3-2 win with a goal and an assist.
While Kari (loud AS Atletico Madrid and Manchester City are also interested) is available for free in the summer, Bayern would have to open the box for Zaire-Emery. The Frenchman is under contract with PSG until 2024. The Parisians want him for information from SPOX and keep GOAL.

The personal details confirm the recent trend in Munich to invest even more in young players from abroad in the future, following the blueprint with Jamal Musiala (came from Chelsea youth team in 2019) and Tanguy Nianzou (from PSG U19).

Matteo Perez Vinlof (16) from Sweden (Hammarby)
Hyun-ju-Lee (18) of South Korea (on loan from Pohang Steelers with an option to buy)
Now a trio could follow. Nagelsmann should form as many of them as professionals.
