Kimmich had the weekend in one ZDF-Interview explained his change of heart and made an appeal regarding how to deal with his statements. “Some limits were exceeded,” complained Kimmich about the fuss surrounding his situation. “It wasn’t just factual criticism. I’m also just a person who has fears.”

Bavaria’s team doctor Prof. Dr. Roland Schmidt admitted to the kicker now a health update on Kimmich. “We observe a typical course of a mild COVID-19 illness in him,” said Schmidt and explained that Kimmich’s lung problems “are not atypical with milder COVID-19 courses”.
