FC Bayern - Nagelsmann complains about the lawn in Stuttgart: "Not necessarily at Bundesliga level"

Coach Julian Nagelsmann complained about the pitch in the Mercedes-Benz Arena after FC Bayern’s clear success against VfB Stuttgart.

The “field” was “borderline” for a Bundesliga game, emphasized the Bayern coach at the press conference after the game.

After the 5-0 victory, Nagelsmann assumed that the Swabians had “combed the place a little” before kick-off. The blades of grass were longer than in all other stadiums: “That is usually an indication that the space is not so good.”

After the game it was clear that the turf was “not necessarily at Bundesliga level”, Nagelsmann continued.

In terms of play, his team was not influenced by the conditions on the pitch. With a three-pack from Serge Gnabry, who also prepared the two goals from Robert Lewandowski, the Munich team can look forward to the early autumn championship.

The only downer of the game from the perspective of Munich is that Kinsgley Coman injured his thigh during a defensive action and had to be replaced before the break. The lawn was probably not to blame.
