FC Bayern – Nagelsmann criticizes FCB's performance against Frankfurt: "It's a crisis of results"

Julian Nagelsmann criticized his team after the 1-1 (1-0) draw against Eintracht Frankfurt. According to the Bayern coach, the German record champions are in a “results crisis”.

“In order to be able to play big games, you also have to play the small ones in such a way that you are on a good psychological run. We don’t have too much time before the really big games to get into this run. So we have to start at some point – the first step is always the hardest. It’s a result crisis,” explained Nagelsmann sky after Munich’s third Bundesliga game without a win in a row.

Above all, the creative opening of the game did not suit the Bayern coach at all. “The acceleration of the game wasn’t good at all. The opponent defended deeply in all three games, so that’s just not enough. We had many situations today in which we could use very good players in the half-spaces, but we almost play it only over the wing. The opponent can adapt well to that. In the end, it’s not a special performance from us,” said Nagelsmann.

After the third draw in a row, “self-confidence is of course not that high,” said the FCB coach, who is demanding better performances from his team in the coming weeks: “We should have done a lot more for that. There are many points that we really could have done better.”

Thomas Müller assessed the situation in a similar way. “Of course we wished for the knot bursting today. Frankfurt made it difficult for us. But the situation is as it is. We have to do better,” said the 33-year-old after the game sky. “Drawing three times – that’s not possible, we’re Bayern Munich. It’s clear that we’re dissatisfied, that we haven’t won three times in a row. It’s really annoying.”

After the 1-1 draw against Eintracht, Bayern’s lead over Union Berlin at the top of the table has shrunk to one point. Immediately before the World Cup break, Bayern had won six games in a row.
