FC Bayern, News: Effenberg raves about Jamal Musiala

Ex-Bayern professional Stefan Effenberg raves about Jamal Musiala. “We can be happy that he decided to join the German national team,” wrote the 2001 Champions League winner in his column sports1: “The creativity that Musiala possesses is unbelievable.”

Julian Nagelsmann can probably fall back on Thomas Müller in Barcelona during the week. According to that table football should the German national player be back in the squad. Worse fears have not been confirmed at Kingsley Coman either. The Frenchman, like Müller, should be available in the Champions League. The coach still has to do without Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sané and Lucas Hernández.

Neuer has good cards for a comeback against Mainz at the weekend. A Sané return is expected against Inter Milan at the earliest. Hernández could potentially make his comeback in the last game of the year against Werder Bremen.

Bayern have only won once of the last three away games in Mainz – in February 2020 (3-1). The FSV prevailed in both 2021 (1: 2) and 2022 (1: 3). On the upcoming Bundesliga weekend, both teams will meet in Munich for the first time this season.
