FC Bayern – Oliver Kahn on Cristiano Ronaldo: “We briefly discussed”

Board boss Oliver Kahn has confirmed that FC Bayern Munich actually dealt with the subject of Cristiano Ronaldo at least briefly last summer.

“We briefly discussed Ronaldo at Bayern and probably Dortmund too,” revealed Kahn in the sports picture. “We also see the Bundesliga as a whole. Of course, superstars like Ronaldo are an important factor in attracting attention to the league. He’s one of the greatest of the last decade.”

However, any thoughts of a possible commitment from CR7 were then “quickly discarded,” Kahn continued.

Ronaldo wanted to leave Manchester United before the season, in addition to Bayern Munich, he was also associated with Borussia Dortmund and numerous other top European clubs. However, the 37-year-old Portuguese ended up staying at Manchester, where his contract expires after this season.

A farewell to the Red Devils in the summer of 2023 is therefore very likely, but Ronaldo could possibly change in January. United coach Erik ten Hag is said to have reconsidered this and is loud about the premature departure of the five-time world footballer telegraph now supposedly open to it.
