Four other professionals around Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala are in quarantine

After the unvaccinated national player Joshua Kimmich, his teammates Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Michael Cuisance also had to go into quarantine “in consultation with the responsible health authorities” at the German record champions Bayern Munich. The Munich announced on Sunday, two days before the game in the Champions League at Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday (6.45 p.m.).

“You had contact with a person in the immediate vicinity of the FC Bayern team who tested positive for the corona virus,” said a statement. Kimmich is currently also in quarantine. The 26-year-old missed the league defeat in the derby at FC Augsburg (1: 2) on Friday as an unvaccinated contact person for a corona infected person.

The national players Gnabry and Musiala as well as Choupo-Moting and Cuisance are also considered unvaccinated. Most recently, Kimmich, Gnabry, Musiala and Choupo-Moting had already had to go into quarantine as contact persons for the positive Niklas Süle.

As the Picture on sunday reported, all Bayern players who have to be quarantined because of a missing corona vaccination will no longer be paid by the club during this time. The professionals lose several hundred thousand euros, depending on their salary.
