Fredi Bobic is taking legal action against his dismissal from Hertha BSC. This was confirmed by a spokeswoman for the labor court in Berlin Picture-Newspaper.
“I can confirm that Mr. Bobic has filed a lawsuit against unfair dismissal in the labor court – both against ordinary and extraordinary termination,” the spokeswoman is quoted as saying.
According to the report, Bobic, whose contract in Berlin runs until 2024, is demanding a settlement of between three and four million euros. Hertha, on the other hand, apparently wants to prevent the payment and argues with behavior that is harmful to the club.
Immediately before his release, Bobic caused a stir when he threatened to slap a TV reporter. The capital club reacted immediately and released the 51-year-old from his duties.
