Hansi Flick praises Borussia Dortmund: “Insane self-confidence”

National coach Hansi Flick is full of praise for the performance of the serial winners from Borussia Dortmund. “You can tell that they have incredible self-confidence because of the victories,” said Flick on the sidelines of the Padel City Open in Dortmund, looking at BVB’s success in the top game over RB Leipzig (2-1). It is remarkable “that they are ready to defend to the last second”.

Julian Brandt is “in excellent form”, BVB appear as a team and benefit from a “good order”. The 58-year-old followed the encounter on Friday evening in Signal Iduna Park – with enthusiasm. “It was a great game for everyone in the stadium,” enthused Flick, praising the “suspense right to the end” and the “high intensity”.

Flick was also impressed by the excitement of the Bundesliga “on both sides” of the table: “That’s what we’ve wanted for years. Every team, every player, always has to perform at a high level. That’s for the quality of the Bundesliga is definitely an advantage.”
