Hoffenheim manager Alexander Rosen defends Max Eberl: "An absolute no-go"

After his sharp criticism of Borussia Mönchengladbach and the fans there, there was now support for the future Leipzig manager Max Eberl. Alexander Rosen from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim described dealing with Eberl as an “absolute no-go”.

The double pass every Sunday from 11 a.m. LIVE on Sport1.

“I think you should be very, very sure when you make such a blatant claim. To be honest, it’s very daring and borderline,” said Rosen, director of professional football in Hoffenheim sports1-“double pass”. “Completely unacceptable that you assume that from afar. Asking yourself about your personal situation and saying he’s just doing show is an absolute no-go.”

Eberl was in the world on Sunday complained about how he was treated after it became known that he would start as sports director at RB Leipzig on December 15. I understand the “disappointment that I’m going to RB, but not that I’m accused of lying and drama,” he emphasized. “The fact that the club doesn’t immediately reject something like this,” he described as disappointment.

Rosen agreed: “I can’t say how Gladbach behaved towards him. The fact is, they didn’t position themselves when the letter was published. You can criticize that.”

Eberl gave up his job at Borussia Mönchengladbach in tears at the end of January, saying he was “broken” and “exhausted”. Rosen could understand the great pressure on his colleagues: “Indeed there are always difficult moments, for example when the results are not right, the effects of the corona pandemic or personal fates of the players. These are all things that people do don’t get it.”

In addition, there could be “special circumstances in private life”. Rosen: “I know that there are moments when it’s just too much.”
