Hoffenheim’s Robert Skov is out for months

Maria KeaneTSG Hoffenheim will have to do without Danish international Robert Skov for longer than initially assumed. As the Kraichgauer announced on Monday after detailed medical examinations, the 25-year-old midfielder is expected to be out for several months due to a “serious thigh injury”.
Skov suffered the injury on Saturday in the Bundesliga match at VfL Bochum (0: 2). On Sunday, Hoffenheim initially announced that Skov would be absent from the Danish national team in the final games in the World Cup qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Scotland.
As the established winners of Group F, Denmark, along with Germany and the host, is already qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
