Kimmich and Müller tested positive for Corona

The two national players Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich have tested positive for the corona virus.

Her club Bayern Munich announced this on Saturday evening. Both players are symptom-free and are in domestic isolation.

A use of Müller (33) and Kimmich (27) in the top game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday evening seems extremely questionable.

In the previous week, their teammates Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka had already tested positive with the national team. However, both were used again on Friday in Bayern’s 4-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen.

Bavaria prohibits autograph sessions

Immediately beforehand, Bayern had already reacted to the increasing corona numbers in Munich and initially prohibited direct contact between fans and players.

“Half an hour before the start of training, those responsible decided that no more autographs could be written. We’re sorry. But that has mainly to do with the increasing corona numbers,” she quotes picture-Newspaper folder on Säbener Straße.

In Munich, the 7-day incidence is currently 834.3 – well above the national average of 466.
