Leon Goretzka and Alphonso Davies before returning

Record champion Bayer Munich can hope for the return of two top performers. National player Leon Goretzka, who has been missing for weeks due to problems with his patellar tendon, should start training again on Tuesday, according to coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Full-back Alphonso Davies has recovered from his myocarditis.

“He’s looking good,” said Nagelsmann on Saturday after the 1-1 (1-1) draw at his former club TSG Hoffenheim.

“I hope he gets back on his feet quickly. But he will be missing for another three to four weeks,” added Nagelsmann.
