Maria KeaneNational goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is aiming for his comeback after a shoulder injury. “I’m assuming that I’ll be able to play again soon. Basically, I’m fit,” said the 36-year-old in an interview RTL/ntv two and a half weeks before the World Cup in Qatar (20 November to 18 December).
“I completed my goalkeeper training as normal and will probably also train with the team and I hope everything is fine there and I can continue like this,” said the Bayern Munich professional. The record champions are visiting Hertha BSC on Saturday (3:30 p.m.).
Neuer assesses the chances of the German national team at the World Cup as “good”, “I think we have a good team. Of course we have to bring the potential onto the pitch,” said the keeper: “Everything is possible.”
