Neuer has already resumed running training, but according to media reports it is still too early for him to play against 1. FSV Mainz 05 at the weekend.
That would mean that after the Champions League game against FC Barcelona he will also miss the sixth competitive game in a row.
It is currently assumed that Neuer will return between the Munich posts on November 1 against Inter Milan or four days later in the away game at Hertha BSC.
There is no need to worry about his World Cup prospects, as CEO Oliver Kahn said on Tuesday: “It’s nothing serious. He should be ready again soon.”
