Many Hertha supporters are denied access to the guest block

Numerous fans of Hertha BSC were apparently denied access to the guest block during their club’s away game at SV Werder Bremen. That reports the picture.

According to this, there should have been delays in the admission of guest fans before the game due to tightened controls. As a result, some of the Hertha fans only got into the stadium after kick-off.

Many supporters were then also denied access to the stands, as documented by some pictures of fans who had traveled with them on Twitter. “The problem was caused by Hertha fans themselves,” said Werder security chief Lars Mühlbradt picture.

“Banners were placed so high that no fans wanted to stand behind them,” added Mühlbradt. “As a result, the space in the block became so narrow that no more fans could be let in for fear of overcrowding.”

Hertha BSC: Sandro Schwarz denounces beer mug throws

The fans who couldn’t make it to the stands could watch the game on screens in the stands. The block lock was only lifted shortly before the end.

Hertha finally lost 1-0 with a goal from Niclas Füllkrug (85′). Hertha coach Sandro Schwarz was apparently the victim of beer mug throws. Schwarz described the action of “individual people” after the game as “asocial and cowardly”.
