Maria KeaneSports director Markus Krösche from Eintracht Frankfurt has defended the supporters of the Bundesliga club against criticism.
“I think we have outstanding fans,” said Krösche the day after the draw at Bayern Munich (1-1). sports1-One-two pass: “Of course something always happens, but we are in close contact with the scene.”
Krösche was reacting to statements by Munich’s Honorary President Uli Hoeneß, who had accused the Hessians of having a problem because of their “aggressive fans”.
In fact, Eintracht has had to pay over 300,000 euros in penalties for various offenses by their supporters so far this season.
In addition, Krösche criticized Hertha BSC for the dismissal of Fredi Bobic. “I find it difficult. As a sports manager or sports director, you have a certain influence – in planning, in strategic direction. But it is extremely difficult to intervene in today. In my opinion, this time is the wrong time. You can do that then do it at the end of the season,” says Krösche.
