Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to do without Matthias Ginter for the coming season! The 27-year-old will not extend his foal contract, which will expire in the summer. Ginter announced this on Instagram.

The Ginter personality was repeatedly discussed in public in Mönchengladbach, sports director Max Eberl had repeatedly emphasized that he wanted to keep the defensive boss with the foals. And yet he couldn’t get Ginter, who will be 28 years old in January, to stay.

Ginter came to Gladbach from BVB
The central defender moved from Borussia Dortmund to the Lower Rhine in 2017 for a transfer fee of 17 million euros. Since then he has played 165 competitive games for Gladbach, scoring ten goals.
