Mintzlaff reacts to Rangnick criticism because of Nagelsmann's move to Bayern

Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff from RB Leipzig has commented on Ralf Rangnick’s criticism. He had sharply criticized the transfer policy of the Saxons.

“I would definitely not have agreed to this change and would have bailed FC Bayern out,” said Rangnick DAZN-Expert in the new “Decoded” format explained in relation to Julian Nagelsmann’s move to record champions. In addition to Nagelsmann, Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer also moved to Munich in the last transfer window.

On the sidelines of the Bundesliga game on Saturday evening against Vfl Bochum (3-0), Mintzlaff commented Sky to Rangnicks remarks. “Everyone is allowed to have their opinion, and especially Ralf Rangnick. But that affects me neither emotionally nor in terms of content,” the 46-year-old wiped the criticism aside.

“I’m not concentrating on what Ralf Rangnick said, but on picking up speed here. I know we’re doing a good job here,” said Mintzlaff, whose club is currently seventh in the table.

“Ralf did a great job here, without him we wouldn’t be here,” Mintzlaff continued. “Now he has expressed himself as an expert on things, that is his right.” But he is not sitting “in the training center and asking me: ‘What do I do with Ralf’s statement?'”
