Modeste pressures bosses to extend contract

1. FC Köln’s Anthony Modeste has sent a clear message to the Cologne bosses regarding a possible contract extension.

“The club knows what to do,” said Modeste picture live. “In the end I need a bit of security. I’m 33 years old and I’ll be 34, but I feel in top form. Let’s see what happens. I’m not stressed. I enjoy every game, every training session with my team. That’s the most important.”

Modeste has already scored 15 goals this season and is in eighth place in the Bundesliga with the Rhinelanders. According to Modeste, however, there have not yet been any talks about extending his working paper, which expires in 2023.

“One thing I know: I feel like playing football and then we have to see what the future holds,” Modeste continued. “I said that if we can’t find a solution and I want to play football, I have to think about something else. That’s clear. If nothing comes from FC, then I have to look somehow.”
