Nagelsmann suggests vaccination at Kimmich and Co.

National player Joshua Kimmich and the other skeptics at record champions Bayern Munich will probably get vaccinated after all. This was indicated by coach Julian Nagelsmann.

“We’re heading in the right direction,” said the 34-year-old in the World on sunday on this subject, “we should soon be able to shelve that.”

The Bavarians did not want to comment on corresponding media reports recently. However, national coach Hansi Flick already announced such a decision by Kimmich.

Nagelsmann had already indicated that the information from SPOX and GOAL about (first) vaccinations that have already taken place with Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala are correct. In addition to the two and Kimmich, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Michael Cuisance were considered unvaccinated.

Key player Kimmich was missing from the league classic in Dortmund (3: 2) because he was again in quarantine after a positive corona test. “I no longer have this concern,” said Nagelsmann when asked whether he feared another failure for the same reason.

In terms of vaccination, he added: “It is up to the players to comment in detail. In any case, I can say that I am confident that we will not have as many negative points of contact with the topic in the future as we did last time.”
