BVB-News: Possible winter transfers from Borussia Dortmund

At BVB, a busier transfer window is looming in winter than usual. Two long-time players could leave Borussia Dortmund in exchange for two newcomers. An overview:

BVB: The possible departures in winter

  • Axel Witsel (32, defensive midfield, contract until 2022): Again and again, the veteran was recently associated with a move to Juventus. It is unlikely that he will still be a BVB player beyond the summer due to his expiring contract. According to matching media reports (Gazzetta dello Sport, Sky) Witsel could even go in winter. So BVB would at least still have the opportunity to take a transfer for the Belgian. Both Juve and Witsel should even be able to imagine such a scenario, but there are two catches. On the one hand, Juve should be loud Gazzetta dello Sport the transfer and especially the salary of the six can not afford as long as Aaron Ramsey is still under contract in Turin. The Welshman, who comes to just 112 minutes of use, is said to earn around ten million euros annually. Another reason why a winter transfer from Witsel is difficult to implement is the current injury misery in which the Dortmund team are stuck and which Witsel recently had almost unrivaled either in central defense or in defensive midfield. It is therefore quite possible that the Belgian will still have to fulfill his contract in the eyes of the BVB bosses if further personnel bottlenecks threaten and no replacement comes in winter.
  • Roman Bürki (31, goalkeeper, contract until 2023): The Swiss is now only goalkeeper number four and should leave the club in the summer. The crux of the matter, however, is the 31-year-old’s princely contract, which he signed shortly before his demotion. Bürki is said to have refused a short-term loan to FC Basel in the summer, although BVB was willing to take over large parts of the goalkeeper’s salary. An absurdity? Not in the eyes of sports director Michael Zorc: “Roman didn’t steal any golden spoons here. He was our number one for years and if no transfer can be made, then he stays and is a member of our squad.” If there are serious offers on the table for Bürki at BVB in winter, nothing stands in the way of a change.

BVB: The possible entries in winter

  • Denis Zakaria (24, defensive midfield, contract until 2022): Loud Sky BVB is still very interested in reuniting the Swiss with his former Gladbach coach Marco Rose. The 24-year-old’s contract expires in the summer, which is why a winter transfer to Zakaria is not unlikely. According to image BVB should face a defeat in transfer poker for Zakaria in this regard, because he is aiming for a move abroad and preferably to the Premier League. There should also be interested parties from Italy (Juventus, Roma). Recently, Zakaria had not completely ruled out staying in Gladbach: “I didn’t say that I definitely want to go,” Zakaria said last to the Rheinische Post. “I’ve always said that I felt comfortable in Gladbach. We’ll have to have more talks, I can’t say more about it yet.” Forecast: A lot has to happen for Zakariah to switch to BVB in winter, even though Gladbach’s sports director Max Eberl has a sale Gladbach Live did not want to rule out. Before a Zakaria transfer, BVB would have to get Witsel off the payroll, especially since the Belgian is exactly in the Zakaria position.
  • Hakim Ziyech (28, offensive wing, contract until 2025): Loud Sky BVB especially wanted to upgrade the offensive flanks again in winter because the performance of Donyell Malen, who is more of a center striker, but should also act as a substitute for Sancho, is anything but satisfactory. BVB wanted to get another player for the offensive wing back in the summer, but dropped out at Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel because of Callum Hudson-Odoi. According to image and Sky In Hakim Ziyech, a Champions League winner’s player is now the focus of the Black and Yellows for a loan in winter. While the Moroccan started three out of four games in the Champions League, he hardly played in the Premier League (4 out of 11 games). Ziyech wanted, according to the image “Definitely” leave Chelsea in winter due to the irregular playing times. Ziyech moved from Ajax Amsterdam to London in the summer of 2020 for 40 million euros. Last season, however, he was unable to establish himself consistently as a regular.

BVB, News: Kobel use against VfB questionable

The use of BVB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel against his ex-club VfB Stuttgart on Saturday (3:30 p.m. in LIVETICKER) is still uncertain. The Swiss, who had canceled his trip to the national team due to a hip injury, has not yet returned to team training.

“He is of course very motivated to play against his old colleagues,” said Sebastian Kehl, head of Dortmund’s licensed players department Ruhr news. According to the report, Kobel is said to be between the posts despite his recent injury problems against the Swabians.

Kobel traveled to Switzerland to treat his hip injury, and after his return to Dortmund on Tuesday, the 23-year-old completed an individual session.

BVB, rumor: Dortmund in the role of favorites with Adeyemi

The courted young international Karim Adeyemi has, according to information from SPOX and GOAL have the clear intention to move to the Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund is the favorite in the campaign for the Red Bull Salzburg attacking man.

A move to FC Bayern remains – as SPOX and Goal have already reported – unrealistic because the Adeyemi side sees little chance of sufficient playing time for the player.

As the image Now reported, Borussia Dortmund apparently wants to go to the financial pain limit to lure the 19-year-old to the black and yellow. The total package could therefore amount to up to 60 million euros. The fee should therefore be between 30 and 35 million euros including bonuses. BVB should also offer Adeyemi a salary of five million euros over five years.

Adeyemi’s contract in Salzburg runs until 2024. He has scored 15 goals in 22 competitive games this season. He was trained at FC Bayern before he switched to the youth team at SpVgg Unterhaching in 2012, from where he moved on to Salzburg.
