Maria KeaneIs ÖFB legionnaire Patrick Wimmer already taking the next step in his career? Bundesliga competitor VfL Wolfsburg would like to sign the Arminia winger.
Since his summer transfer from Wiener Austria to Arminia Bielefeld, Patrick Wimmer has quickly acclimatized to the German Bundesliga. After 23 league games, the 20-year-old Austrian can look back on ten points (three goals, seven assists).
Strong performances could now enable the right winger to take the next step in his career. Again table football reported, Wimmer, like Ruben Vargas from Augsburg, has been targeted by VfL Wolfsburg.
But a deal could be difficult to achieve. VfL sponsor Volkswagen is severely affected by Putin’s war of aggression in Ukraine, and the Wolfsburg team are said to be threatened with financial cuts. A possible commitment from Wimmer is therefore “complicated”.
