RB Leipzig apparently interested in sports director Edwards from Liverpool FC

Maria KeaneIs RB Leipzig using Jürgen Klopp’s stuff when looking for a new sports director? According to a report by Sports picture the Bundesliga club wants to bring the 41-year-old Michael Edwards from Liverpool FC to succeed Markus Krösche (Eintracht Frankfurt).
Edwards is currently the sports director of the Reds and landed a direct hit on the transfer market with Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, among others.
Internally, Edwards is said to have already signaled to those responsible that he wanted to leave the club in summer 2022. RB managing director Oliver Mintzlaff wanted to get involved in the Sports picture do not comment on the personnel. Most recently, however, Mintzlaff had revealed “that we have identified the right candidate for our club and our philosophy”.
The new sports director should ideally be officially presented during the winter break, but a transition phase until summer is also possible. Florian Scholz as Commercial Director and Christopher Vivell as Technical Director are currently taking on the duties of Sports Director. Mintzlaff had praised their work several times in the recent past.
