Maria KeaneMax Eberl has made a first deal as the new managing director of sports at RB Leipzig. The DFB Cup winner extended the contract with defender Mohamed Simakan by another year until the summer of 2027. The club announced this on Tuesday.
“Mo Simakan is a player who has already made a great development at RB Leipzig and, at just 22 years old, has a lot of potential to become even stronger. He has accepted his new role on the right defensive flank excellently,” said boar
The French U21 national player moved to Leipzig in the summer of 2021 and has established himself as a top performer. In total, he scored four goals and six assists for RB, including three goals and five assists this season. “The club and the city have quickly become my second home and I’m just happy here. We’ve achieved a lot in 2022 and I’m looking forward to everything that’s to come,” said Simakan.
