Maria KeaneRB Leipzig may have to do without Yussuf Poulsen until the winter break. According to coach Jesse Marsch, the Danish international torn a hamstring in his calf.
“He may be out for three, four, five weeks,” said the coach before the away game on Saturday at TSG Hoffenheim.
“He was in the best shape of his career,” said Marsch. In the last three Bundesliga games, Poulsen had scored three goals and prepared another. The Saxons also have to do without national player Marcel Halstenberg, who is not yet available after his knee operation.
Marsch has respect for his opponent Hoffenheim. “They are very, very strong at home,” said the RB coach, “it will be a big task for us. We have to work very hard against the ball, but we also have to show our qualities with the ball so that Hoffenheim doesn’t get in that often the offensive is. “
