"Really difficult!" Why Thomas Müller and Jürgen Klopp don't talk to each other

Jürgen Klopp and Thomas Müller never worked together in a team. Nevertheless, the Liverpool coach praises the qualities of the original Munich man in the highest tones, but also reveals why it is “really difficult” to “change a word in any way”.

The long-time Bayern player is “incredibly efficient and incredibly clever. His movements sometimes look a bit rustic, but are so often so incredibly correct and almost brilliant,” emphasized Klopp in the Amazon documentary “FC Bayern – Behind the Legend” .

Even if they had not previously worked together in a team, the LFC coach could well imagine the two of them being involved in the same club. You would certainly have “a good time together”, both in human and sporting terms.

So far, and to the regret of the Liverpool coach, there has not yet been a longer exchange of ideas between the two. This is mainly due to Müller’s way.

“When you play against him, it’s really uncomfortable. You can see his dislike for anything that isn’t Bayern Munich,” said Klopp. This downright obsession makes “it” really difficult to exchange a word in any way.

Klopp and Müller had a regular rivalry between 2009 and 2015. Klopp was the coach of Borussia Dortmund at the time, and Müller played, as he does today, for FC Bayern Munich.
