Maria KeaneReiner Calmund (72), long-time manager and managing director of Bayer Leverkusen, owes his strong weight loss to the advice of Uli Hoeneß (69).
In August 2019 he went to Hoeneß in Munich, “and when I left, he said: ‘Man Calli, what about your Plauze, don’t you want to do something?'” Calli reported in an interview with the Time-Garnish Christ & world.
The long-standing Bayern manager and president recommended that he “go to Großhadern to see a specialist. I did that and he said to me on the head: ‘Mr. Calmund, you can only do that with a stomach reduction, you will never defeat the yo-yo ‘”.
In the meantime, Calmund has lost 90 kilograms and thus halved his body weight. He had two operations. “I can move better, I’m lighter, more agile. It’s a completely new attitude towards life,” mused the long-standing face of the works club.
In the interview, Calmund also commented on death. He would be happy if there was a god, he says. “He could tell me: You have sinned here and there, he might send me back to purgatory, that would be fine. But I tend to believe more in coincidences and not in a God who determines things.”
