Robert Lewandowski is said to be willing to sacrifice his salary for a move from FC Bayern Munich to FC Barcelona. This is reported by the Spanish sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo based in Barcelona.
Accordingly, Lewandowski’s advisor Pini Zahavi is said to have informed the Catalans that the FCB striker could also live with a lower salary than is currently the case with Bayern.
The 33-year-old is said to collect an annual salary of around 20 million euros there. Bayern recently denied that they would be willing to give up Lewandowski next summer. Instead, it will probably depend on him changing in 2023 without a fee.
The striker himself avoided any commitment to the club last matchday when Bayern bagged the championship against Borussia Dortmund. The people of Munich are said to be already working on a successor solution.
