Accordingly, Bayern could collect a total of five million euros by selling the striker. The German record champions are to receive 1.25 million euros per season over the next four years if Lewandowski scores at least 25 goals.
However, the number does not only refer to goals in the Spanish league, but to all competitions.
Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has negotiated a clause that is relatively easy to achieve by Lewandowski standards. After just 16 competitive games this season, the Pole has already scored 17 goals (twelve in the league, five in the Champions League). In order for Bayern to cash in, only eight goals are missing.
Should Lewandowski only approximately keep his goal quota, Bayern should be able to win the full additional amount.
