Maria KeaneEintracht Frankfurt captain Sebastian Rode does not rule out a premature end to his career.
“I still have a good two years of contract left and I make no secret of the fact that it won’t go much longer after that. If at all…” said the 31-year-old, who was repeatedly plagued by injuries image-Interview.
Rode’s contract with Hessen runs until June 2024. But it’s not like “that the topic keeps me busy. I want to play as much as possible and help the team, we’ll see about everything else”.
Rode has already had several knee surgeries – the last in August. It is therefore “clear that I can no longer act like I did when I was young,” said Rode. “But I’m trying to keep my style of play as good as possible.”
