Sports director Roland Virkus from Borussia Mönchengladbach has still not gotten over the move from national player Jonas Hofmann to league rival Bayer Leverkusen. Virkus said he was “very disappointed” with the transfer Editorial Network Germany.
This is because “I was sure that Jonas would be a fixture with us. At his request, we made him an offer that met his expectations. We were very disappointed that he then accepted, but canceled by phone two days later,” said the sports director of the five-time German champion.
Coach Gerardo Seoane, however, reacted “completely relaxed”. In football, everything goes “very, very quickly, and in Franck Honorat and Tomas Cvancara we were able to immediately sign two very promising players,” emphasized Virkus.
He has clear ideas about the goals for this season and is also critical: “We want to go our own way again. And it has to be clearly recognizable. In order for that to succeed, we expect the lads to commit to the club and give it their all. That’s the basic requirement for me. Maybe Borussia has been in management mode for too long in the recent past.”
