Maria KeaneSports director Rudi Völler believes that top talent Florian Wirtz (18) will stay with Bayer Leverkusen for longer.
“Not only through the contractual situation – also through the trust we have built in him and his family, we know that he will be in good hands here for a few more years. We want Florian to stay with us for a few more years,” said Völler im image-Interview.
At some point “maybe the X day will come and Florian will be too small here,” said Völler: “But that will take a while.” Young national player Witz is under contract in Leverkusen until June 2026. Many top European clubs have the attacking midfielder on their list.
