Ryan Gravenberch is said to be in Liverpool FC's sights

The rumors about Liverpool’s interest in Ryan Gravenberch from FC Bayern are getting new fuel. According to information from sports1 The Reds are said to have made inquiries about the central midfielder with a view to a possible transfer next summer.

sports1Chief Reporter Kerry Hau explained on the podcast The Bayern week on Gravenberch: “Liverpool are interested. They want to rejuvenate their midfield in the summer and can well imagine bringing in two new eights – that is, another player in addition to the dream player Jude Bellingham.”

The top English club had “already asked about him in the Gravenberch area, what type of guy he is like,” Hau continued. However, there have not yet been any concrete negotiations.

Liverpool is having a mediocre season. The club of team manager Jürgen Klopp is in danger of missing out on a Champions League rank in the Premier League and conceded a 2-5 pack in the round of 16 first leg against Real Madrid during the week. A reorganization of the squad in the summer is very likely.

Gravenberch was rumored to have been discussed with the Reds a few weeks ago. The 20-year-old has yet to catch on since his €18.5million transfer from Ajax to Munich. In the autumn he complained, among other things, in the Munich evening newspaper: “The situation is not easy for me, of course I want to play. But I have to be patient.”

Gravenberch’s contract on Säbener Straße runs until 2027.

Gravenberch made 22 competitive appearances (one goal, one assist) for FCB this season. However, he only completed two games over the full distance. That’s another reason why he didn’t make it into the Dutch squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
