Joshua Kimmich from FC Bayern Munich is currently in quarantine for the second time within a short time. We give you information about Kimmich’s career so far, his salary and his family.

No Bundesliga player is in the public headlines these days like Joshua Kimmich from FC Bayern Munich – and not because of his outstanding performances on the field.

The 26-year-old Kimmich has been in quarantine for the second time within a very short time since last Thursday. The reason: Kimmich had contact with a suspected corona case in his private life and therefore has to stay at home again as a contact person.

The FC Bayern service provider had just finished its first quarantine two days earlier. In the run-up to the World Cup qualifier against Liechtenstein, Kimmich’s teammate at the record champions, Niklas Süle, tested positive for the corona virus. Kimmich, as contact person I, as well as Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg had to be in quarantine.

Kimmich first missed the World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Armenia and last Friday also the Bundesliga game at FC Augsburg (1: 2). He is also not available to coach Julian Nagelsmann in the Champions League game at Dynamo Kiev.

Kimmich is a model player at Bayern and in the national team. However, its image has received one or two scratches in the past few weeks. After the Bundesliga game against TSG Hoffenheim on October 23, Kimmich stated in an interview that he was not vaccinated against Corona. “Personally, I still have a few concerns about the lack of long-term studies. Everyone has to make the decision for themselves. Nevertheless, it is not that I am a corona denier or a vaccination opponent,” said Kimmich at the time, explaining his stance.

Joshua Kimmich: Wealth and Salary

Like all soccer players in his class, Kimmich doesn’t have to worry about his financial future. Kimmich is one of the top earners at FC Bayern. In total, his annual income should amount to an estimated 20 million euros, in addition to the salary from FC Bayern Munich, this amount also includes bonuses and income from sponsorship deals.

As the Picture on sunday reported, Bayern Munich’s bosses have had enough of the ongoing corona vortex. Salary cuts should now follow for the players concerned – also for Kimmich. Last Thursday, the unvaccinated players are said to have been informed that their salary from the previous week of quarantine will be withdrawn retrospectively. For Kimmich that would be a loss of around 768,000 euros.

Joshua Kimmich: Career

Joshua Kimmich’s football career began at VfB Bösingen in the Rottweil district. At the age of twelve, he moved to the VfB Stuttgart youth training center.
