Sasa Kalajdzic will not be Lewandowski's successor

ÖFB striker Sasa Kalajdzic was traded at Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich for weeks and months. Apparently, the 24-year-old will not end up at either of the two traditional clubs. A move to England is becoming more and more likely.

After Borussia Dortmund opted for Ajax attacker Sébastien Haller, FC Bayern is apparently no longer interested in Sasa Kalajdzic. According to information from Munich evening newspaper, the VfB Stuttgart striker is not an issue for the successor to Robert Lewandowski at FC Bayern.

The Austrian would have been much more interesting as a back-up. This role will be filled by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. However, Kalajdzic is not expected to succeed Lewandowski.

So the signs point to a move to the Premier League. The list of those interested in the two-meter striker is likely to be long. As The Athletic reports, Brighton & Hove Albion has indicated an interest in Kalajdzic and is actively seeking his services. Antonio Contes Tottenham Hotspur and Hasenhüttl-Klub FC Southampton are also considered interested.

The 15-time ÖFB team striker (4 goals) scored six goals in 15 games for VfB last season and scored every 204 Bundesliga minutes.
