Schalke files an appeal against a fine

Maria KeaneBundesliga returnees Schalke 04 have been fined a total of 93,160 euros after their fans made mistakes in the home game against FC St. Pauli (3-2) in the home game against FC St. Pauli. The club then announced that it would appeal against the judgment of the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB).
Two cases were punished: According to the verdict, at least 40 Bengal fires and eight smoke pots had been lit in the Schalke block before the match, delaying the kick-off by one minute.
After the game, around 1,500 to 2,000 Schalke supporters stormed the pitch. Here, too, pyrotechnics were burned off, and several people were injured, including at least four seriously injured. A police officer was also injured on the Arena Ring in an altercation with a Schalke supporter.
According to the first verdict, Schalke can use up to 31,000 euros of the fine for security or violence prevention measures.
