After Bayern’s two wins in the Champions League group stage last season (each 3-0) and the 2-0 win at home in September, the 3-0 win on Wednesday at the Camp Nou was Nagelsmann’s fourth win in a row against Barca. Before the 35-year-old, no other coach in the premier class had managed to do that.
Gnabry meanwhile prepared all three Munich goals by Sadio Mané, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Benjamin Pavard. No player has ever managed an assist hat-trick in the Champions League against the Catalans.
With five wins from five games, Munich have literally plowed through Group C. Even before the last game against Inter Milan next Tuesday (9 p.m. in LIVETICKER), FCB can no longer take first place.
