There is more news from the German record champions here.

FC Bayern, News: Thomas Müller von Söder awarded

Thomas Müller received the Bavarian Sports Prize from Prime Minister Markus Söder. Söder praised Müller on Friday as a “great hero” and “a role model for Bayern all over the world. Thomas Müller has a huge fan base and motivates young people to take up sport. His huge successes with FC Bayern Munich and the national team speak for themselves. Bayern is very proud.”

Müller said: “Bavaria is my homeland, both in relation to football and to my whole life, so of course I’m particularly pleased about this award. I want to give people fun and give everything every day.” But he looked straight back at football, he hopes “that this title will not be the last one this season”.

Müller, born in Weilheim in Oberbayern, has spent his entire career at FC Bayern and, with 31 titles, is the most successful player in the club’s history. Eleven German championships are joined by two triumphs in the Champions League.

The Bavarian Sports Prize is awarded annually, the associated gala takes place on Saturday evening (7 p.m.) in the BMW World at the Olympic Park and also later from 10.05 p.m. in the BR television transfer.

FC Bayern, News: U23 loses in Wanner’s debut

FC Bayern’s second team suffered a 3-1 defeat against the amateurs of 1. FC Nürnberg when youngster Paul Wanner played for the first time. The 16-year-old, who had already played for the professionals in the Bundesliga and Champions League, played for the U23s for the first time.

The goals in the stadium on Grünwalder Straße were scored by Jermain Nischalke, Fabian Menig and Ali Loune for the club, Lucas Copado scored an equalizer after 60 minutes. While FCN jumps to third place with the win – table leader is SpVgg Unterhaching – Bayern are only in eighth place with 25 points from 18 games.

FC Bayern, News: Secret training ground finally ready

The training ground on Säbener Strasse, which Julian Nagelsmann kept secret to improve training, is finally complete. Due to delivery and problems, the originally planned date had to be postponed by around two months, and since Thursday a huge privacy screen has been installed (according to picture 69 awnings of 4.5×2.5 meters each) that can be extended electrically. The construction is said to have cost over 100,000 euros.

Also new is a camera system that helps Nagelsmann watch the exercises from a small balcony in front of the trainer’s office and give tactical instructions using the video screen installed in August. Bad for all fans: Even from the hill over which a public path leads, it is no longer possible to catch a glimpse of the Bayern stars.

FC Bayern, News: Neuer and Müller are missing again

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann again has to do without two key players in the game at TSG Hoffenheim. Because of his shoulder injury, Manuel Neuer can neither play in the Bundesliga game at TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday (3.30 p.m.) nor in the Champions League at FC Barcelona (Wednesday, 9 p.m.), Nagelsmann said on Friday on the PK. Thomas Müller has a gastrointestinal infection.
