Sports director Max Eberl announces personnel decision and increases the pressure

The tone is getting rougher at Borussia Mönchengladbach. After the disappointing first series, sports director Max Eberl is now announcing talks and personnel decisions.

In an interview conducted by Borussia itself, Eberl primarily made the team responsible. “We also told the boys and the team in no uncertain terms: Everything that the boys have in their heads that has nothing to do with Borussia or the second half of the season, I would like to have clarified this week,” said Eberl. “I want everyone to focus on this situation, on this club, on this second half of the season.”

All professional or private matters should be clarified by the training start on December 28th, according to his request. “You should clarify it. We will also make a few decisions so that we can then prepare for this complicated second half of the season cleanly and clearly.”

Eberl also addressed rumors of emigration about high performers such as Denis Zakaria or Matthias Ginter.
