"Statement was undifferentiated!" Leon Goretzka rows back after media scolding

Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka has withdrawn his harsh media criticism after beating Hertha BSC (2-0).

“My statement after the game was undifferentiated and not correct,” said the midfielder on Monday Picture: “Emotion and anger after the game grab me too.”

Goretzka had said on Sunday that Bayern players were “completely destroyed by the media”. He did not refer this primarily to himself, but emphasized that teammates were “more in the fire” and had to “take a lot”.

Now he is hoping for fewer swings in the rating. “It would be nice if we exaggerated a little less with everything – positively and negatively,” said Goretzka.
