Testicular cancer screening now standard for medical checks

Maria KeaneAfter two cases of testicular cancer in his team, Hertha BSC made a corresponding precautionary measure a standard offer for medical checks.
“We will definitely offer these investigations actively from the next transfer period,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic picture-Newspaper: “But that is not mandatory.”
The check with the urologist is also recommended for current professionals. A testicular tumor was discovered in Jean-Paul Boetius and Marco Richter in the past few months, and both players are now back. Chemotherapy was not necessary in either case.
Other prominent cases in the Bundesliga were Sebastien Haller from Borussia Dortmund and Timo Baumgartl from Union Berlin. Both had to undergo chemotherapy, Baumgartl is now playing again.
