Testicular cancer screening now standard for medical checks

After two cases of testicular cancer in his team, Hertha BSC made a corresponding precautionary measure a standard offer for medical checks.

“We will definitely offer these investigations actively from the next transfer period,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic picture-Newspaper: “But that is not mandatory.”

Other prominent cases in the Bundesliga were Sebastien Haller from Borussia Dortmund and Timo Baumgartl from Union Berlin. Both had to undergo chemotherapy, Baumgartl is now playing again.
