Turn at BVB? Youssoufa Moukoko checks off thoughts of a change

Too high salary demands from Moukoko?

Youssoufa Moukoko apparently toyed with the idea of leaving the club in the summer at Borussia Dortmund. But the arrival of Edin Terzic has apparently changed everything

As the Southgerman newspaper reported, Youssoufa Moukoko “immediately checked off” his thoughts on a change when BVB hired Edin Terzic as their new coach after the end of the season.

Under Terzic’s predecessor Marco Rose, Moukoko did not get enough time due to various injuries, but even when fit, the striker is said to have had a difficult time with Rose. Terzic, on the other hand, increasingly relied on Moukoko during his time as interim coach at BVB between December 2020 and June 2021.

So not only Terzic is a reason for Moukoko to rethink. Co-trainer Sebastian Geppert, who worked with Moukoko in the BVB offspring and has a good connection to the youngster, is also considered an important person.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen how long peace will last in Dortmund. The 17-year-old striker only has one year left on his contract. It would be fatal for BVB to lose one of the hottest irons in Europe on a free transfer.

Noisy picture Moukoko can only imagine a contract extension if he actually gets opportunities to play again under Terzic.
