Uli Hoeneß sees "no irreconcilable differences" in the Neuer cause

According to Manuel Neuer’s explosive statements, honorary president Uli Hoeneß sees “no irreconcilable differences” between those responsible at FC Bayern Munich and the national goalkeeper.

“The problems are there, they have to be discussed and cleared up calmly and openly,” said Hoeneß in an interview with the editorial network Germany and added: “Manuel Neuer has made a significant contribution to our successes and the successes of the national team. And when he’s healthy again , he will put the gloves back on.”

After the dismissal of goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic, captain Neuer had attacked those responsible for the club head-on. As a result, there was also speculation about a possible break between the national keeper and coach Julian Nagelsmann.

“The interview caused a stir and excitement and surprised me too,” admitted Hoeneß. But he expects the Munich bosses to clear up the topic soon: “In the first few days, the media took over the baton and the sovereignty of interpretation, which must not and will not remain so. Those responsible at FC Bayern will shortly be public about the matter say that the second leg in Paris could be the right time for that.” The second leg against PSG will take place in Munich on March 8th.
