Maria KeaneUnion Berlin is loaning defender Timo Baumgartl for another season. The capital club agreed on this with the Dutch first division club PSV Eindhoven. The 26-year-old, who had to undergo cancer surgery in May for a tumor on his testicles, formed the back three with Robin Knoche and Paul Jaeckel last season.
“I felt very comfortable with Union right from the start and not only fell in love with the club and its people, but also with the city,” said Baumgartl: “I’m looking forward to more time together and will try to get back to you as soon as possible to be back on the field.”
