Union Berlin signs Jordan Siebatcheu as a replacement for Taiwo Awoniyi

After the departure of striker Taiwo Awoniyi, 1. FC Union Berlin have strengthened their attack. As the club announced on Thursday, the 26-year-old American Jordan Siebatcheu is moving to the capital from Young Boys Bern. Union did not provide information on the contract period.
Siebatcheu scored 27 goals in 45 games for the Young Boys last season and finished as top scorer. The forward, who also has French citizenship, also made his debut for the US national team last year.
“Jordan is a striker who will suit us well with his way of playing football and can play in different game systems. We’re looking forward to him, his goal threat and the fact that he has decided to join Union,” said Managing Director Professional Football Oliver Ruhnert .
