Maria KeaneBundesliga club Union Berlin may have to travel to the Europa League away game at Malmö FF without head coaches Urs Fischer, Timo Baumgartl and Tim Maciejewski. As the Bundesliga leaders announced on Tuesday, the trio tested positive for the corona virus. All other tests by the license player department were negative.
However, the club did not fundamentally rule out the arrival of those affected. There is a possibility that it could work, said a spokesman.
Union is aiming for the much-needed first success in Sweden. The Berliners narrowly lost the first two games of the group stage against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Sporting Braga (both 0-1). Malmö is still without a point.
