VfB has experienced an upswing since Sebastian Hoeneß took over.

Can VfB Stuttgart still avert relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga? This will become clear in the coming weeks. Here you will find information about the games, opponents and dates of the Swabians in the Bundesliga final sprint.

The relegation battle in the current Bundesliga season is almost as exciting as the championship battle. Because several teams are involved in this fight for relegation, including VfB Stuttgart, which is currently in 17th place and would now be relegated directly.

However, the season is not over yet, two whole matchdays still have to be completed. In the coming weeks it will become clear whether the Swabians can hold the class or have to come down again.

VfB Stuttgart: Remaining program in the Bundesliga – games, opponents, dates

Since coach Sebastian Hoeneß took over, things are going a lot better at VfB. Stuttgart won two of six league games under the 41-year-old, the Swabians also drew three times and suffered only one defeat – against Hertha BSC. All important points for the fight against relegation, but it’s not the right time to rest just yet.

On May 21st, VfB is a guest at 1. FSV Mainz 05 when the 33rd matchday is due. Six days later, in the home Mercedes-Benz Arena, the big season finale takes place against TSG Hoffenheim, who are also not completely off the hook, at least as far as the relegation is concerned. Both games will kick off at 3:30 p.m.
