VfL Wolfsburg: Anselmo Garcia McNulty is to be awarded

Anselmo Garcia McNulty is one of the most talented young players at VfL Wolfsburg. The 18-year-old central defender is to be loaned out in the approaching winter transfer period in order to gain initial experience in the professional field.

According to information from SPOX and GOAL, two second division clubs, Werder Bremen and 1. FC Nürnberg, show interest in the 1.87 meter tall left foot.

A one and a half year loan is in the room, VfL cannot guarantee Garcia McNulty any minutes in his Bundesliga team and would welcome a temporary move to advance its development.

The Irish national junior player, who was born in Spain, came to Wolfsburg from Real Betis in the summer of 2019 and has since played 27 games for various VfL youth teams, and has played three times for the reserve in the Regionalliga Nord.

Last summer the Wolves provided him with a professional contract until 2024, but so far it has not been enough for a competitive game under both Mark van Bommel and Florian Kohfeldt. Most recently he was active in the Youth League.
